Investigation Report on Conflicts Between Factions Within the Vulgus
The Order of Truth is a Vulgus faction that seeks to develop and modify the body created by their leader, the Dominator, in order to grow into a superior species. Believing that everything they do during that process leads them closer to the truth, they're committed to abducting and conducting bio-experiments on humans in Ingris.
As such, they consider the entire process of growing into a superior species as their faith, and hold in contempt the act of becoming stronger though mechanical augmentations rather than through physical enhancements. However, since the purpose of all Vulgus is to annihilate humanity in Ingris, the members of the lowest caste are implanted with machines for combat utility.
Mechanization has not been discovered among the priesthood of the Order, but if any priest were found with such augmentation, it would likely result in their dismissal from their caste. Due to this tenet, the Order regards the Legion of Immortality as inferior rabble for resting on technological prowess instead of striving to evolve into a superior species.
The Legion of Immortality is one of the factions that follow the orders of General Amon. They seek to achieve 'immortality' by replacing their entire bodies with machines based on specialized memories and the Immortality Protocol, with the exception of their brains and some of their internal organs.
However, their influence within the Vulgus is considered to be the weakest, due to an incident in which the Magisters, who were part of the Legion of Immortality, betrayed the Vulgus and sided with humanity. General Amon had to take full responsibility and has been carrying out orders from General Karel of the Legion of Darkness. The Legion of Immortality research and produce weapons and prosthetics for all Vulgus legions.
