Zapper

The Exterminator was originally developed as an exclusively anti-armor weapon, but the need to deal with a range of enemy types arose as the battlefront expanded to the entire Axion Plains. To that end, the shells and target guidance mechanism were drastically modified. In addition, the anti-armor shells' power to penetrate was reduced while their blast was increased, making them effective against the Vulgus and Legion of Breach in the Axion Plains. Ironically, however, the weapon's killing power was reduced in the process which made it inferior to the original version and now stands as a textbook case of a failed modification.
